India Reflections

Surrender

When you are disciplined by yourself, you are surrendering to yourself. It is, as I explained, you don't surrender to somebody else. It is surrendering to your own higher Self. When I make a plan, I discipline my mind so that it is not free in the common sense that it can do what it likes. Surrender is the proper utilization of your capacity.

Develop Love

In our inward journey, if you don't develop love, it's going to be a very laborious, time-consuming, tiresome journey to the goal, which could take aeons of time. And if there is love, it could be just, as Babuji said, "Move your head from here to here and you are there".

Simple Living

Necessities of life should be meager. "Plain living and high thinking" is an English proverb. Detachment in attachment is really needed. The happiest man is he who is happy under all circumstances.

Forgive

He who cannot forgive himself can forgive nobody else – the beginning of guilt is the inability to forgive yourself. I therefore beseech you all to make a resolution: O Master, help me to forgive myself, and therefore through myself, forgive all others for whatever I think or imagine they have done to me and to others, either for or against, knowing that ultimately it is the divine Master who is guiding this divine play that we call human existence on earth.

God

The closest idea of God – in fact the only real idea of God – is that God is love, and where there is love, there is God.

Love and Sacrifice

We see families suffering before us, our own and others, neighbours, relations, precisely because these two elements are in most cases lacking. They have not been able to generate love sufficiently to overcome their problems, and they have not been able to make sacrifices enough to assure harmonious existence.

Ignore

Sahaj Marg does not fight anything because the principle is, when you fight something, even your own thoughts, they become stronger. That is why Babuji said ignore unwanted thoughts and they will leave you. Treat them as uninvited guests.

Mind II

The mind is our enemy, but the mind is also the only instrument through which we can gain this victory and make sure that human birth makes use of this very valuable opportunity on earth to achieve the goal of human birth, which is to gain liberation from it.

Main Enemies

The two main enemies of human life: ignorance and laziness. Because, through ignorance we avoid the good; through ignorance of consequences, we accept the evil. Through laziness we are not able to change ourselves.

Suggestions

If a man wants to work out the problems of his life easily, he should give right suggestions to the mind. It is the condition which comes by practice and proper moulding of one's self. It is very easy to remain in one's own condition, which is divine. It is the sure process for evolution. A little inclination towards the attainment of the Reality will start weaving the future.
