Training Overview
YOGA IN-DEPTH Level 1B training is for 5 half days with a total of 25 hours of in-person studio or online zoom training. On successful completion you will receive a Yoga Awareness certification.

LEARN: We explore the relationship of our body, breath and mind by studying the authentic Vedic teaching of Raja Yoga by Patanjali as taught through the Krishnamacharya-Desikachar lineage. It strengthens sadhana, which is your yoga practice and how you apply it in daily life. This gradual process transforms the knowledge that you gained from the previous training into a greater understanding and knowing of our 'true' self. Those wishing to participate must have the willingness to learn, practice and change.

CURRICULUM: Daily Asana practice followed by Asana theory and demonstration, Pranayama breath introduction, Chanting practice, Meditation practice.

STUDIO OR ONLINE TRAINING

DAY 1
Opening and introduction • Chanting • Classification of asana - general sequencing • Asana practice to teach Surya Namaskara.

DAY 2
Chanting • Asana clinic • Asana theory review • Direction of spine movement with breath • Asana practice to feel spine in movement.

DAY 3
Chanting • Asana clinic • Asana theory review • Why Breath & Movement Coordination? • Types breath in asana • Asana practice with BMC (purakam, recakam).

DAY 4
Chanting • Asana clinic • Asana theory review • Benefits of asana • Understanding Bandha-s (prana energy locks) • Asana practice with BMC (kumbhaka).

DAY 5
Chanting • Asana clinic • Asana theory review • Siksana verses Cikitsa • Dynamic verses Static • Asana practice with asana-s of repetition and stay • Establishing a sadhana (personal home practice) • Closing ceremony.

HOME TRAINING (optional extra cost)
4 WEEKS YOGA SADHANA PRACTICE
The purpose of the home training is to develop your Yoga sadhana, which is a tapas to understand and experience the effects that Yoga has on your system. Schedule a private session with a Yoga Awareness teacher, either online or in-person. Afterwards we email a detailed sequence drawing for you to practice daily at home and at the end of each week submit a weekly sadhana report for 4 continuous weeks. PRICE: 1x (60 mins) private session + 1x sequence drawing + worksheets $150

Training Certification
On completion of your studio or online training you will receive the Yoga Awareness Level 1 certification. Your training hours can be credited to the Yoga Awareness YAT200 Yoga Teacher training.
