YOKO'S SECRET POWER SPOT |
|
Over the last 2 years in Tokyo I had to focus on creating another potential career which was a major transformation for me. It was exciting but hard. The pressure and frustration put me under a lot of stress. Even though I practiced Yoga regularly my stress became overwhelming. I totally lost balance and I realized that I would have to take action and take care of myself. Last Sunday I landed at my second home town "Maui" for a 7 day vacation.
I swam in the ocean every morning, surfed, hiked and of course did Yoga everyday. I am challenged with so many activities but that is what I like about Maui. I don't need to be good at them, just enjoy them. I play as much as I can and this is a powerful stimulation which helps to balance my mind and body. Ted and I planned some fun excursions because we believed that the real wellness should bare some challenges as well.
Yoga, surfing, hiking, swimming, adventures to sacred spots and wholesome foods ! I had so much fun with these activities on Maui. This was just absolutely enjoyable. I will go back there on my next trip for sure. Now that I came back to Tokyo from Maui last night, I feel so much better, so much younger, which means I look much better after the trip. My realization is that to enjoy and play with the nature of Maui is the best Anti-Aging. On day 3, I felt 5 years younger and I feel 10 years younger now.
All I needed to do was just play with the nature of Maui. I think I should follow my inclination "what I like to do and how I can do" rather than finding excuses "not to do".
An overall win-win situation for everybody. That's how life is supposed to be. |
Here I am. I came back to Maui !
As soon as I got out from the Kahului Airport I jumped into the water at Kanaha beach. The ocean, blue sky, clouds, trees, flowers and even the fragrant smells that I was missing so much for the last 2 years came back to me. I think that Maui is the best place for me to rejuvenate.
On day 4, I climbed down to a secret power spot, the "Bathing Pools" in Haiku. I felt that this spot was so special, amazing and unforgettable. The water was very salty but silky. I was imagining me floating in my mother`s womb. I realized my mind was very calm yet my body was energized after visiting this secret spot.
I'm so glad I decided to visit Maui even though I was busy with work. I canceled and rescheduled some of my appointments, because I listened to my inner voice telling me what was truly the best for me right now. This trip was not an escape from my daily life, but prove that Maui would be a great healing spot for wellness.
