' Right Action & Attitude '
The Yoga Awareness one and two week Trainings are held each year on Maui in February and July. Ted Surman presents an in-depth study of Yoga and Ayurveda which empowers us to deepen our daily practice and to share with others. The Yoga Teachings of Patanjali is Raja Yoga, which means ‘to shine’. Patanjali gives us two methods to shine and achieve peacefulness to our body, breath and mind.
Kriya Yoga is having the right action and attitude in your practice. It comprises of three parts: ‘Tapas’, healthy actions. ‘Svadhyaya’, verification of our actions. ‘Isvarapranidhana’, acceptance and belief.
Sunday 5 - 7 pm • opening ceremony
Monday 10 am - 5:30 pm • asana theory & demonstration (1.5 hr) • asana practice & breath introduction (1.5 hr) • study from the Patanjali Yoga Sutras (1 hr) • introduction to chanting practice (0.5 hr) • introduction to meditation practice (1.5 hr)
Saturday 10 am - 5:30 pm • asana practice (1.5 hr) • evaluation exam & review (1.5 hr) • introduction to Ayurveda (3 hr) • closing ceremony 5:30 - 7 pm

Deposit: US$300 on registration. Balance Due: 30 days prior to the Training. All payments are non-refundable. US tax included.

Participation
Those wishing to participate must have the willingness to learn, practice and to share the knowledge gained. The 'beginner's mind' is the best mind for this Training, no matter if you're an advanced practitioner or an absolute beginner. Physical limitations are no constraint for this training.
Certification
Students who successfully complete the one and two week Trainings will be awarded a Yoga Awareness Certification of Completion. This certification is a minimum requirement for Yoga Awareness 2009 one year Training and ‘Ongoing Studies’ (Teacher Internship and Trainings in South India).
