Ann
Fielding
Ann Fielding, who invented
eco-tourism 20 years before anyone gave
it a name, offers personalized half-day shoreline snorkeling adventures
and scuba expeditions. This is a fun and easy way to learn about
Hawaiian
marine life with a marine biologist. Years ago she chose to leave
the
laboratory and schools to teach ecology in the living classroom
of the sea.
Ann earned her degrees
at the University of Hawaii, was director
of public education at Waikiki Aquarium and conducted research in
Honolulu. Moving to Maui she headed the Science Department at a
private college, was consultant to the Maui Ocean Center and served
as marine naturalist on an eco-adventure tour cruise ship in the
South Pacific. Ann is a PADI scuba diving instructor and an
accomplished underwater photographer.
